WHY BUY LOCALLY?
- Reduce your global footprint! Buying local produce means your goods do not have to travel thousands of miles to reach you.
- Eat fresh! Vegetables and baked goods from the farmers market haven't sat on shelves for weeks before they reach your table.
- You can find high quality items at low prices. Where else could you get a beautiful bunch of lettuce for only a dollar?
- Develop a sense of community. The farmers market is a great place to get caught up with friends and neighbors and to show support for local businesses. You can also get to know the people who are producing your food and develop long lasting friendships. Shopping at the market brings people together!
